Important! About Buying Kittens Online

Lancaster Kittens strongly discourages you from buying a kitten from someone you have never met. LancasterKittens.com provides advertising for breeders and licensed sellers. We feel it is to everyone's advantage if you personally meet the seller, since you are buying the puppy from them, and your new kittens parents, if possible. This will help you feel good about the home where your kitten comes from. You can prove to yourself and see with your own eyes the condition your new kitten was raised. If you are getting a kitten from someone who is not the breeder (a pet shop for example), ask them about their policies regarding this.

We encourage you to contact the people advertising with us and go visit them, so you can find out for yourself how the kitten was raised. We feel the exception to this of course would be if a breeder/seller is state and/or federally licensed and inspected.

We also reccommend having your kitten checked by a certified veterinarian within a few days of bring him/her home. It is much easier to resolve potential issues right away than to wait several weeks and then try and deal with them. The laws vary from state to state, we recommend asking the seller what their health guarantee consists of before committing to a purchase. Most kitten owners won't have to worry about such things, however it pays to have done your homework.

Most importantly, have fun!! Finding a new family member should be an exiting and rewarding experience.
